Commonwealth Psychology Associates® has been giving TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits for behavioral health services ever since 2018. This allows people in Belmont and all over Massachusetts to get top notch treatment from the same highly trained licensed professional clinicians who treat our in-office clients.
Online Virtual Visits are a great alternative for those that can’t come in to our offices as a result of geography, transport, disabilities, work as well as childcare schedules, etc. Please note that you must be physically located in Massachusetts during your appointment to meet licensing and insurance coverage requirements.
There are three major requirements for Online Virtual Visits. Our Belmont TelePsych clients will need:
– A desktop computer or laptop with a web cam and microphone (We do not recommend using a tablet or phone – they appear to cause hiccups).
– A high quality internet connection.
– A private space that is quiet where you will not be disturbed.
Most insurance providers cover TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits. Our team will verify your benefits.
Since 2004 Commonwealth Psychology Associates® (CPA) has been responsible for helping people in Belmont, MA, and right through the Greater Boston region, experience happier and healthier lives. We deliver a wide range of behavioral health programs within one group practice, and employ a personalized treatment strategy for every client in a supportive setting.
Our trained team of psychologists can establish if psychiatric medication is best for you and help keep control of your medication routine so you are getting the correct medication and dosage levels to maintain your mental wellbeing.
The change to motherhood often involves a number of intense feelings. Our clinicians who are experts in post-partum depression are waiting to help with this in a relaxed and caring environment. Additionally we provide medication advice for pregnant women and new moms who may be already using prescriptions for existing issues.
At CPA, we diagnose attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) by making use of non-invasive neuropsychological tests which determine attentiveness along with many other cognitive capabilities. These types of services are offered to patients sixteen and older and conclude with strategies to make certain our clients function at their best at school and work.
Neuropsychological evaluations can be a reliable tool for diagnosing (or dismissing) autism spectrum disorders, learning disorders and ADHD in teenagers. Adolescents who go through emotional, social, behavioral, or/and academic struggles might benefit from assessment and the consequent treatment plans and recommendations for better functioning at school, at home, and in a social setting.
Our neuropsychological evaluations, offered at our Belmont area clinic, for teens ages 16+, tackle issues caused by concussions, attention, academic struggles, emotion regulation, social skills, executive functioning, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment and treatment solutions.
Quite a few adults with autism weren’t ever diagnosed as children or teenagers. We’re able to screen adults and young people for autism disorders utilizing the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition) which measures applicable cognitive capabilities such as social interaction and language.
Our psychological well being has a huge influence on our physical health and may even worsen established medical issues. This is where behavioral medicine really shines. At CPA, our skilled health psychologists use a variety of procedures and approaches to help clients improve their health and wellness and feel great.
Without proper sleep, we may have problems focusing, with the result that our everyday lives may suffer. If you have been having problems sleeping, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) for insomnia might be of help. It involves altering your feelings and habits regarding sleep to relieve worry and stress, which calms your body and mind for more rewarding and deeper night’s sleep.
Our center provides therapy and counseling to couples and individuals going through conflict, intimacy issues, navigating life transitions, anxiety, and other troubles.
If you’re ready to schedule an appointment or find out more about our services and our practice, please get in touch today to schedule an appointment.
