Commonwealth Psychology Associates® has actually been giving TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits for behavioral health services since 2018. This allows individuals in Cambridge and all over Massachusetts to obtain excellent treatment from the very same highly trained licensed clinical clinicians who treat our in-office clients.
Online Virtual Visits are a great alternative for those who can not come in to our offices due to geography, transport, disabilities, work and childcare timetables, etc. Please keep in mind that you must be physically located in Massachusetts during your appointment to satisfy licensing and insurance coverage requirements.
There are three major requirements for Online Virtual Visits. Our Cambridge TelePsych clients will require:
– A desktop or laptop computer with a web cam and microphone (We do not advise using a phone or tablet – they appear to create hiccups).
– A strong internet connection.
– A private area that is quiet where you will not be disturbed.
The majority of insurance providers cover TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits. Our staff will confirm your benefits.
Ever since the year 2004 CPA (Commonwealth Psychology Associates®) has been involved in helping people in Cambridge, MA, and throughout the Greater Boston region, enjoy healthier and happier lives. We offer a selection of behavioral health solutions under one group practice, and use an individualized treatment approach for each person within a supportive setting.
Our trained psychiatry team can figure out if psychiatric medication is right for you and help to manage your medication schedule so you’re getting the right medication and doses for your mental health condition.
Our phsychology team knows that women who frequently use psychiatric medications may need specialized medication evaluation both through and after pregnancy. We address post-partum depression to help women with the transition to motherhood. We’re here to help with this in a warm and cosy environment.
Here at CPA, we diagnose or dismiss attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with the help of neuropsychological evaluations (non-intrusive) which assess concentration and other cognitive characteristics. ADHD assessment is offered to clients 16 and older and conclude in a treatment plan and with formal strategies to help clients perform at their best at school and at work.
Neuropsychological tests can be an accurate tool for identifying (or perhaps ruling out) learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders and ADHD in teenagers. Teens who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, social, and/or educational challenges may benefit from assessment and the consequent treatment options and advice for improved performance at home, school, and in social settings.
Our reliable neuropsychological tests, offered at our Cambridge area facility, for adolescents aged 16 or over, tackle concerns caused by executive functioning, emotion regulation, academic struggles, concussions, social skills, attention, Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD diagnosis and treatment solutions.
Countless adults that are on the autism spectrum weren’t ever diagnosed as children or teens. We can test young people and adults for autism spectrum disorders by using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) which evaluates related cognitive characteristics such as social interaction and language skills.
Our psychological well being can have a huge influence on our overall health and may even exacerbate pre-existing health issues. That’s where behavioral treatment comes into play. At Commonwealth Psychology Associates®, our qualified psychologists apply various approaches and techniques to help sufferers benefit their general health and feel great.
We will assist you in getting a better night’s sleep by the use of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) for insomnia. This strategy can help patients change their thinking patterns and views in relation to sleep, to prepare the body and mind for much better rest.
Our center provides counseling and therapy to couples and individuals who could be struggling with intimacy issues, stress, conflict, navigating life transitions, and other difficulties.
