We have been offering TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits for behavioral health services since 2018. This makes it possible for individuals in Massachusetts and all over MA to get top notch support from the same highly trained qualified professional team who treat our local in-office clients.
Online Virtual Visits are an excellent alternative for those who cannot come in to our offices because of geography, transportation, disabilities, work and child care routines, etc. Please note that you must be physically located in Massachusetts during your appointment to meet licensing and insurance coverage requirements.
There are three main requirements for Online Virtual Visits. Our Massachusetts TelePsych clients will need:
– A desktop or laptop with a web cam and microphone (We do not recommend using a phone or tablet – they seem to cause hiccups).
– A high quality internet connection.
– A private space that is quiet where you will be uninterrupted.
The majority of insurance companies cover TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits. Our team will certainly verify your benefits.
A psychiatric evaluation can help determine if medication is right for you. Our psychiatry team is here to help you make the best-informed choice about your treatment options. We help manage your medication schedule so that you’re receiving the right medication in the proper dosages for you.
We provide specialize guidance to new and expecting mothers who are currently on or are considering psychiatric medications. We treat post-partum depression and help women navigate the emotional challenges of the transition to motherhood.
It is common for children and adolescents to experience emotional and behavioral struggles. We have a team of clinicians that specialize in working with children and their families and treat their concerns with compassion.
When it comes to psychiatric medication, children and adolescents benefit from working with a specially trained Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist who can evaluate the biological, social, and emotional factors at play. This information will help the doctor and parents determine if medication is the right treatment option.
At CPA, our clinical neuropsychologists rule out or diagnose ADHD with non-invasive evaluations that measure attention and other cognitive functions. These services are available for clients 16 and older. Evaluations are used to create a treatment plan and recommendations to help clients perform their best at school and work.
Personality and psychological testing may utilize a variety of tools to evaluate a client’s personality and emotional functioning. This allows the client and clinician to identify the root cause of difficulties and map out a plan to remove barriers to improved daily functioning.
Many adults with Autism were never diagnosed as children but seek evaluation later in life as they learn more about and identify with the symptoms of autism. We test adolescents and adults for Autism Spectrum Disorders using the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition) to measure relevant cognitive factors including social interaction and language skills.
Our emotional health can have a direct effect on our physical health. Behavioral health interventions can be an effective part of treatment for conditions such hypertension, diabetes, and pain management. Our health psychologists help clients adjust and cope with a new or existing diagnosis and use behavior-change principles to help create lasting lifestyle changes to promote optimal health.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) can be an effective option for those who struggle to get a good night’s sleep and want to reduce or avoid dependence on prescription sleep medications. CBT-I helps clients adjust their thoughts and behaviors related to sleep.
Biofeedback is a non-invasive process that uses sensors attached to the body so you can see a visual image of your physical reactions to stress on a screen. Using this information, we can develop an action plan to identify your stress triggers and build skills to help you manage stress more effectively.
Unhappiness or lack of satisfaction in a job or a career can have a profound effect on emotional health. We can help you find the right path by evaluating your strengths, interests, values, and goals whether you are thinking about a mid-career change or you’re just starting out.
Couples therapy can help you and your partner move towards a happier, healthier place in your relationship. This is a safe place to explore problems, identify and understand frustrating patterns, and learn to manage conflict in a more productive way.
