Commonwealth Psychology Associates® has been offering TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits for behavioral health services ever since 2018. This allows individuals in Somerville and all over Massachusetts to obtain top notch care from the very same highly trained qualified clinical staff who treat our in-office clients.
Online Virtual Visits are an excellent choice for those who cannot travel to our offices due to location, transport, disabilities, work as well as childcare routines, etc. Please keep in mind that you must be physically located in Massachusetts during your appointment to satisfy licensing and insurance coverage requirements.
There are three main requirements for Online Virtual Visits. Our Somerville TelePsych clients will require:
– A desktop or laptop with a webcam and microphone (We do not recommend using a tablet or phone – they seem to trigger hiccups).
– A strong internet connection.
– A private space that is quiet where you will not be disturbed.
The majority of insurance companies cover TeleHealth Online Virtual Visits. Our team will confirm your benefits.
Here at CPA (Commonwealth Psychology Associates®), our mission is to help our clients build healthy and happy lives. Our Somerville-area practice treats a range of behavioral health matters and we make an effort to provide each patient with tailored treatment within a caring setting.
Our psychiatry team will be able to select if psychiatric medication is right for you and help to cope with your medication itinerary so you are getting the right medication and dosage levels for your mental health.
Our psychiatry team realizes that women that frequently take psychiatric medications may need specialized medication consultations through and after pregnancy. Additionally we deal with post-partum depression to help women with the transition to being a mother. We’re always here to help with this in caring, warm setting.
At CPA, we identify attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using non-invasive neuropsychological tests that measure attentiveness along with various other psychological characteristics. These types of services are available for people aged sixteen and over and finish with strategies to help our clients perform their best at work and school.
Neuropsychological tests can be an accurate technique for identifying (or ruling out) ADHD, autism spectrum disorders and learning disorders in teenagers. Adolescents who go through behavioral, emotional, social, or/and academic challenges might benefit from assessment and the consequent treatment options and advice for better functioning at school, home, and in social situations.
Our reliable neuropsychological tests, available at our Somerville area facility, for teens ages 16 or over, address problems linked with executive functioning, emotion regulation, academic struggles, concussions, social skills, attention, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment and treatment plans.
A lot of adults with autism were never screened as children. We’re able to test young people and adults for autism using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2), that measures individuals on language skills, social relationships, and additional psychological capabilities.
Our mental wellness has a significant influence on our overall health and might even exacerbate pre-existing health issues. That’s where behavioral therapy comes into play. At Commonwealth Psychology Associates®, our health psychologists employ a variety of techniques and approaches to help clients benefit their health and wellbeing and feel great.
Sleep problems are quite widespread amongst adults in America. CBT for insomnia is a procedure to help you get more sleep by modifying your views, thinking patterns and behaviors in relation to sleeping.
Our center provides therapy and counseling to individuals and couples going through intimacy issues, conflict, stress, life transitions, and other challenges.
