It is possible to have a fulfilling career that plays to your strengths, interests, and values. We look forward to helping our clients find their way to enriching, vibrant career paths.
Grounded in psychological and career development theory, Career Assessment and Consulting is a detailed, comprehensive service that examines your personality style, interests, values, and strengths to help clients find an engaging and satisfying career path. Each Career Consultant is trained in both psychological and career counseling in order to provide you with a richer consultation experience than can be found elsewhere. Our Career Consultants draw upon theory, utilize evidence-based assessments, and gather interpersonal data to help interpret strengths and vulnerabilities that may impact career choices. This consultation service combines thoughtful and creative exploration with action-oriented strategies.
After an initial interview to review your personal history and professional background, your Career Consultant will select specific career-related assessment tolls for you. In subsequent your Career Consultant will interpret the results and facilitate a guided exploration of career options. This process will help you to think about your style and strengths and to discover how they might be optimal to careers you may have never considered before. You’ll receive copies of your test results that include potential career paths to consider and the education, skills, or background required for each. You will also receive specific resources and tools to help you further research these career paths. You will then work with your Career Consultant to set personal career goals and create an action plan to help guide your transition in a timely manner. Although career consultation is not a job placement service, our consultants can also provide support with resume preparation, using social media for career, and/or interview coaching.
Career assessment and consultation can generally be completed in 6-9 sessions, although the number of sessions can vary depending on your individual needs and interests. Each consultation session is 45 minutes in length.
