Danielle Abrams, Ph.D.

Neuropsychologist   |   Newton-Watertown, MA

Dr. Abrams is a clinical neuropsychologist who provides neuropsychological evaluations for adults with a range of neurological, medical, neurodevelopmental, and psychological conditions that can impact cognition.  

Following a comprehensive assessment of cognitive and psychological functioning, Dr. Abrams provides personalized feedback to clients regarding their cognitive strengths and weaknesses, diagnostic impressions, and goal-directed recommendations aimed at improving their daily functioning and quality of life. Her clinical interests include recovery from traumatic brain injury and stroke, cognitive changes in aging, and the impacts of medical conditions on cognition. She also has significant experience assessing cognition in the context of mood/anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). 

 Additionally, Dr. Abrams conducts cognitive rehabilitation therapy aimed at helping clients to identify achievable goals and implement specific strategies to support memory, attention, and organization in their daily lives in order to achieve those goals.  

 Dr. Abrams received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a Neuropsychology focus from Georgia State University. She completed a specialized Neuropsychology internship at the Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School.
