Jared Nemkov, M.D.

Psychiatrist   |   Newton-Watertown, MA

Dr. Nemkov offers psychiatric diagnostic assessments, medication management, and psychotherapy. He believes that fostering open communication with patients and establishing a strong therapeutic alliance are of paramount importance in helping individuals achieve their goals. He is empathic, understanding, and nonjudgmental in his approach to patient treatment. Dr. Nemkov has an eclectic therapeutic approach, incorporating components of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and supportive therapy. He works with patients with a variety of diagnoses, with a particular focus on adolescents and young adults struggling with mood and anxiety symptoms.  

Dr. Nemkov completed his undergraduate education at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he majored in psychology. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed both general psychiatry residency training and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
