Justin Lacasse, D.O.

Board Certified Psychiatrist   |   Cambridge, MA

Dr. Lacasse is a board certified adult psychiatrist with specialized training in treating patients for whom non-psychiatric medical illness is also a concern. He offers diagnostic assessment and consultation as well as ongoing medication management and individual psychotherapy in Cambridge. 

Dr. Lacasse seeks to create a warm, accepting, and client-centered environment. He believes that collaboration and shared decision-making are key to achieving the best outcomes and works with clients to develop a treatment program that best meets their specific needs and is consistent with their values. His approach includes the use of medications and integrative therapy, combining principles of humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and wellness-based interventions that address elements such as restorative sleep, nutrition and exercise, and stress-reduction. Dr. Lacasse has a long-standing interest in understanding how social and cultural factors influence the expression and treatment of mental health concerns.  

Dr. Lacasse completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and his medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed his residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine and fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry with a focus on collaborative care at the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. He is currently an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School where he provides teaching and supervision to psychiatry residents and fellows.
