Dr. Mayhew is a licensed psychologist providing individual therapy for adults and young adults. As a therapist, she is grounded in Relational-Cultural Theory and uses a multicultural and integrative approach to therapy, which is founded in a strong and genuine therapeutic relationship that is both empathic and empowering. Dr. Mayhew integrates ACT-, CBT-, and DBT-based treatments as needed. She aims to create and hold a space of safety for each client with whom she works and believes this is foundational for the growth fostered in treatment. Dr. Mayhew particularly enjoys working with clients who are struggling with identity concerns, relationship or family-of-origin issues, interpersonal communication issues, anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment.
Dr. Mayhew received her clinical doctoral degree from Antioch University-New England in Keene, New Hampshire. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at University of South Carolina’s Counseling and Psychiatry in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Mayhew completed her postdoctoral fellowship at University of New Hampshire’s Psychological and Counseling Services in Durham, New Hampshire. Dr. Mayhew sees clients in our North Station office.
