Simon is a licensed independent clinical social worker who provides individual therapy to adults, adolescents, and children. Simon aims to make therapy a safe space for insight and growth through his warmth, empathy, humor, and genuineness.
His areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, school issues, and ADHD. He works with people of all races, genders, and sexual orientations.
Simon employs a strengths-based, non-judgmental, client-centered approach to therapy. He believes in the strengths of his clients, and in their ability to collaboratively create richer, emotionally fulfilling lives. He understands that every person possesses unique experiences, needs, goals, concerns, and strengths, and therefore deserves individually tailored therapy. His clinical work is informed by a range of relational and evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT,) acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT,) mindfulness, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
Simon received his master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts, and has worked in school and crisis settings. Simon sees clients in our North Station office.
