Dr. Risolo is a licensed psychologist providing individual and couples counseling. The therapy relationship is used to gain insight and to learn a new behavioral skill set. Dr. Risolo utilizes a variety of theoretical approaches including psychodynamic, behavioral, and family systems. She enjoys creating a deep rapport with a client and believes in the mutuality of the working alliance. Among other things, she encourages clients to use readings, humor, and other artistic expressions to become more aware of the mind-body connections. Dr. Risolo strives to create a therapeutic environment in which vulnerabilities are accepted and mutual trust is realized.

Dr. Risolo has supervised clinicians, as well as provided educational and psychologically oriented programs to adults. She received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree from Loyola University, Chicago, and her doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she also served as a Board member and Acting President. She completed an APA accredited internship at the Institute for Juvenile Research/Child Psychiatry Clinic, University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago, and maintained a private practice many years.
